50 years ago, when my grandparents sold their home and moved to a retirement home, my Aunt Betty dug up some Iris rhyzomes and planted them.

When Aunt Betty moved to a retirement home, my cousin Marjorie dug up some of the rhyzomes and planted them.

Marjorie gave me some rhyzomes.

These iris are a living memorial to my grandparents.
