I implore my fellow creators to take Americafest more seriously than just a few viral clips that get circulated from the mainstage.

Here’s Why

This is the Super Bowl of Christian Nationalism and the talking points that emerge are a good indicator of where the right is headed.  This event boasts 25,000+ people but more importantly is where a lot of big players meet to strategize, network and plan their future America steeped in hatred of others

But the most important piece that's overlooked is this:

Turning Point USA has a faith division.  This routinely goes underreported in secular media and is arguably one of the most dangerous parts of the organization.  Major evangelical players like Mike Winger, Doug Wilson and Jentzen Franklin are brought in to work together for political ends.  For anyone who understands evangelicalism, you know that these three names agree on very little theologically but TPUSA Faith is so effective at coalition building those differences are put aside.

TPUSA Faith is targeting the church and making progress.  Charlie spoke at several high profile mega churches and their pastor summits attract thousands of church leaders all committed to advancing a "gospel" message rooted in the values of TPUSA.

As I've been saying for years, MAGA is not just rooted in politics, there is a theology that gives the justification for these actions and White Evangelicalism is where these roots are mostly found.

I've been to Americafest three years in a row and I spent 12-16 hours a day on the floor, in hotel lobbies and using my networking ability to talk to people 1 on 1 so I could hear them in their own words.  This is a much more influential event than progressive media gives it credit for and should be taken as such.
