A character I cut from this story but is nonetheless important is Amos Hochstein, current managing partner at TWG Global who joined the firm the same month that Palantir and TWG launched a joint partnership.

Hochstein was the former Senior Advisor on Energy Security under Biden, visiting Middle Eastern countries such as Lebanon to push for increased oil exploitation.

Hochstein also visited Israel the day before Israel’s pager attack on Hezbollah, although he claims he was there to encourage deescalation and was not informed of the attack beforehand.

However, Hochstein has gone on to support President Trump’s bombing of Iran last June, and continually praised Biden’s support for Israel’s genocide.

Hochstein has held positions at multiple oil and gas companies, including Naftogaz (the biggest in Ukraine) and Tellurian.

He has also served in the IDF, later renouncing his Israeli citizenship despite being born and much of his family residing there.
