Often synchronicity is experienced as an “event” - a recognition of the unusually awesome circumstances that make moments magical.
A couple years ago, something shifted for me. Life itself became vividly visible as Synchronicity. And everything that’s ever happened and likely ever will, from this view, is also experientially synchronic.
The word “synchronicity” - syncing time - reveals a sort of perfection to reality’s unfolding nature. There’s a particular genius, or innate intelligence that is Life itself. And I/We/You are that.
I still experience, as I sense we all do, those moments when a crazy set of events align to create a “whoa that’s wild!” experience. But those moments don’t wash away into something that is not synchronistic - a “normal” or “default mode.” Instead those heightened moments wash into a river of flow that is itself synchronistic in its very nature.
It’s like how we don’t experience ourselves breathing every single breath, because often we’re not paying attention to our breath. But our body is still breathing. Synchronistic moments are like those moments we notice our breath.
When I remember my body breathes on its own, I can trust and relax into my being. I don’t have to work so hard to make it happen. The same principle applies to life: we can relax and trust Being itself, and enjoy the moments of synchronicity breathing into awareness while resting in the flow of air moving through our boundless body, knowing it’s all already and always happening.
I’m not claiming life-as-endless-synchronicity is a metaphysical truth, though from some views maybe it is. I’ll just offer it as a frame, a way of being. What if the next thing that happens to you is synchronicity unfolding, not as a singular event but as the nature of reality itself?
If that were the case, how does it shift your relationship to life?
Perhaps all of reality is a magic show.
