played an ambient set to close the annex at open ground from 3am - 5am, turning the space into a soft cocoon for people to curl up with one another on mats and under blankets. as i ended the set and the soft purple lights came dimly on, the track finished and it was pure silence in the room. i couldn’t see who was in the room because of the booth so as i walked round, i saw so many people snuggled up and so many people sleeping. it was the softest landing ever. people wanted to start clapping but encouraged them to be quiet as we allow people to return to the space. there’s something so special about people trusting you and the environment enough to fall deeply into a liminal zone / sleep. a beautiful sleepover session ☁️🥲🥺🥹 so so precious. darwin’s abyss party at open ground is pure magic.
