FM @araghchi: The initial ceasefire with the United States was accepted in smaller meetings outside the Supreme National Security Council.

• The responsibility for analyzing the situation regarding war or a ceasefire lies with the Supreme National Security Council, while the responsibility for making the final decision rests with the Leader. Each member was responsible for providing an analysis related to their own area.

• The meeting of the Supreme National Security Council to approve the memorandum of understanding with the United States lasted from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m.

• The initial ceasefire was accepted under circumstances in which it was not possible to convene a meeting of the Supreme National Security Council, and the condition for the ceasefire was that the negotiations be based on Iran’s 10 proposed points.
