The worst thing about most contemporary movie musicals, incuding the new SNOW WHITE, is the ponderous overuse of auto-tune on nearly ever vocal. This was less of a problem on the 2023 version of THE LITTLE MERMAID because, it turns out, auto-tune is a pretty good reproduction of the way people sing underwater. (who knew?)

part of the controversy surrounding the new Disney SNOW WHITE is that in most versions, including the 1937 classic, the Prince is something of a stalker. Worse than that, says I, he might be a tenor!
