Under America First, American land is the first thing handed away.

The same leaders promising sovereignty and strength are reopening protected public lands to mining and drilling right now. Safeguards are stripped. Permits are rushed. Oversight disappears.

Foreign corporations extract. Global markets profit. The damage stays put.

Take the Boundary Waters where just like week the GOP filed a joint resolution to overturn a 20-year mining ban protecting Minnesota’s most-visited wilderness.

The mine would be owned by Antofagasta, a Chilean conglomerate that once rented a $5.5 million mansion to Ivanka Trump & Jared Kushner. The copper would ship to China for processing. If Americans wanted those minerals back, we’d buy them on the global market. The sulfuric acid that every sulfide-ore mine produces would stay in Minnesota’s interconnected lakes and streams forever.

Clean water gets risked. Wilderness gets carved up. Permanent local economies lose to short-term extraction. Taxpayers inherit the cleanup.

Patriotism becomes branding while the land is treated like inventory.
