The app for independent voices

Part two of the my Minneapolis video where I started at Post Modern Times Cafe talking Dylan, the owner. After our talk, Dylan took me to Amigos One Stop across the street. He wanted me to meet more good folks in the neighborhood who were putting themselves and their businesses on the line to stand up against ICE’s illegal occupation of Minnesota. Ammar and his brother, the two Palestinian (by way of South America) owners of the grocery (tienda), were awesome, effortlessly gracious and also committed to supporting their community.

This was taped a couple weeks ago. The government has since announced that they are removing ICE and CBP, but that has not happened yet. The illegal occupation goes on. And as Ammar says, even if the government leaves, who knows if his community will ever be the same.
