I cannot help but think what my own state will do and how they shall respond. We all know how this plays out. Eventually, they come for us all.
Resist!!! Keep resisting!
Resist being inhuman like them.
Resist responding with cruelty like them.
Resist by continuing to engage in the hard conversations.
Resist by building relationships.
Resist by normalizing listening to other points of view.
Resist by understanding who your neighbor is and continue to help where you can.
Except…
Snatzis, Misogynists, PDF.files, or Racists.
There’s no excuse. It’s 2025.
Sometimes, I think…what if we’d have had access to cell phone technology back then, would the horror of Epstein Island have occurred to those children?
RESIST in any way you can. I won’t rest. As long as I am alive, I will be remembering the questions that keep spinning in my head…
What will you say when they learn about this time period in history class? Can you reply about your words and actions in a positive manner? Do they align with your values? What legacy am I leaving behind me? Am I responding with integrity? Do I recognize when I am allowing emotions to override critical thinking skills? Are you remembering that righteous anger can also inflict harm?
Sounds kind of old fashioned, doesn’t it? Some believe the word “groceries” sounds that way, too. What do you think?
Well, I prefer to live in a world where kindness wins first. Is that possible, do you think? Or, is it too simple and idealistic?
I expect integrity and honor and the rule of law to be followed, but I also expect equity.
I expect our leadership, civilian, professional, and political, to behave with dignity but to also fight for our democracy using ALL their passion and their skill set toward the further that end.
Sometimes, when I’m at work (customer service—retail sector) I wonder about the sayings that people wear on their shirts, hats, or other apparel.
It’s funny to me that some people wear clothing with phrases or art on them, but have no idea of the stories or history behind the item they are wearing.
Everything I wear, everything I put on my body, has a reason for being there. It has meaning. This means, that if I’m wearing a shirt on it that says “Be Kind” or “I Love Jesus,” you better believe that my words, behavior, and actions are gonna align with what is displayed on my clothing.
What about you? Can you relate? Or is this just a “me” thing?
