Make money doing the work you believe in

One thing that I have never understood about “Old” people that I rarely talked about to their faces when I’d encountered them, not directly, at least, is their FEAR of CHANGE.

I suppose it’s because my life has been NOTHING but dramatic changes and when I look at my current surroundings, that is apparent.

I was taught to “respect” my elders.

That, was my Grandmother’s teaching.

It wasn’t until later I learned that Age and Respect, have nothing to do with each other.

I learn so much from working and studying with young people and REALLY listening….HEARING what they have to say, how they THINK and PROCESS.

CHANGE is inevitable, but it does not have to be FEARFUL.

Knowledge is powerful, but to gain it, you have to be open to learning, and understanding that mistakes and accountability go hand in hand.

Her phrase, to paraphrase…. “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.” didn’t mean ignore the bad things you see out in the open.

This concludes today’s “Thought Sauce!”
