My issue with Degrowth is not its ideals but how it plays out in practice: penny-wise pound-foolish gains that start with the assumption that we can’t problem-solve our way out of environmental catastrophe, and that we therefore need to accept painful rationing, coupled with the further assumptions that this painful rationing will go well, and also that it will distributed equally.
