I adopted a chair.

Neighbors moving out, they put stuff out for people to take.

I grabbed my new favorite chair, a 1960’s Steelcase office chair with green Naugahyde. In great shape, still has the label on the back, quite heavy, this thing was built to last.

From google:

A 1960s Steelcase office chair with green Naugahyde is an iconic piece of mid-century "tanker" or task furniture. Featuring a heavy steel frame, adjustable mechanical backrests, and durable vinyl, these vintage chairs are prized for their industrial-chic aesthetic and exceptional "built-like-a-tank" durability.

Materials: Constructed with a heavy-gauge steel base and frame, frequently finished in original baked enamel or chrome.

Upholstery: Covered in original olive, sage, or kelly green Naugahyde—a high-quality, heavy-duty vinyl known for its matte, leather-like texture and incredible tear resistance. Mobility & Adjustability: Typically mounted on 4-leg caster wheel bases (swivel or non-swivel), with mechanical hand-wheel adjustments for seat and backrest.

Original vintage 1960s Steelcase models in good, unrestored, or reupholstered condition are consistently bought and sold across several online marketplaces.

Value Range: Depending on the chair's condition, originality, and whether it has armrests, these pieces typically sell anywhere from $100 to upwards of $900 for pristine or expertly reupholstered versions.”
