The ongoing saga of Perdita & Pongo, my balcony pigeons. Apparently they were successful in having a baby. Meet Oreo. The bird in the middle has a black tail and neck and pale grey, almost white wings with no stripe. They have been bringing Oreo to my balcony for a couple weeks to get black oil sunflower seeds. A couple of ways that I determined that was a baby is black eyes(they turn red as adults), a lack of a shimmering iridescence on the neck and shorter tail feathers. Oreo is quite brazen and had no problem come close to me as I put out the seeds. Life goes on!
