One of the biggest problems for legacy media is that they are built around the idea that no reporter or analyst or anyone can be bigger than the brand.

Like, the brand is CNN. So you can’t have people bigger than CNN.

But we live in a content world where people don’t identify with big faceless brands.

They identify with people. People who create content they like.

Leaning into that individual branding is the way forward. But these big legacy media shops are just to set in the old ways to adjust.
