😬 The most helpful realization for me has been that unsubscribes are often not tied to what you send, but rather the fact that you send an email at all.
Between two sends you scoop up new subscribers via all sorts of channels, including things like Substack recs where people might not even realize they subscribed (and what the newsletter is about). The send then reminds them that they are on the list.
Makes it feel less personal.
