As a non-Jew looking at the situation on university campuses and reflecting on the past year and a half, I recently came to the conclusion that antisemitism must have been bubbling under the surface, maybe for years, and following October 7, the lid came off and the ugliness spewed forth in plain sight of everyone. That realization has deepened my sadness and my anger.
