I'm not 100% with you in asserting how this race is "do or die" for IA Dems, but IF we're ever gonna win, now would be a good time for it to happen. Both the party AND the State need respite from unhindered, unaccountable & UNHINGED Iowa corncob Taliban Republican misrule. Given the brazen corruption of the Trump/Musk/MAGA looting underway in Washington, I gotta believe our national Democratic prospects are finally ripening, even if only as an "anything is better than this" anti-Republican vote.

THANKS again for bringing some unapologetic liberal spice to Iowa political commentary. I have checked out for decades (not as a voter--I've voted blue here in Cedar Rapids since 1976), but my rage at the snickering condescension of Dave Yepsen & the old "Iowa Press" gaggle of har-har-har know-it-alls lit a fire of indignation in me against the entire cabal of NPR pundits, INCLUDING IPTV. Demolish the buildings, grade the lot & salt the dirt.

As if we NEED more rage & grievance in politics. I realize that at age 67, I'm drifting closer to eternity, but the return of Trump & Iowa's continued Fascist-friendly ugliness, I just feel for the first time ever that I may not outlive this reign of darkness. So thanks again for keeping a candle burning.
