I keep hearing people on podcasts say this ideology is in decline but from the vantage point of “woke at work” the fields I work in, the arts and education, this ideology is very much alive. The true believers have all been installed in positions of authority-they continue to push every extreme position of their omni-cause and they exclude (e.g. they won’t hire) anyone who isn’t onboard. They are definitely not interested in viewpoint diversity and there has been no self-reflection since the election. Lionel Shriver is the only person I’ve heard who’s articulated how this ideology is still very present on the ground in the arts and education and will be for some time.
