Hi, Rick - Back when I was county attorney in Fremont County, we had to replace a 100+ year jail that looked more like a Victorian house. One idea was to build a four county regional jail in the spot where the 4 counties intersected. Even though it was a cost saving idea, it went nowhere! School consolidation creates turf battles, even if it is cost effective. Can’t even imagine how apoplectic if Fremont and Mills counties had to combine into Fremills or Milmont county!!
