You are doing great work. Like you wrote, people have told you to apply the scripture that would require you to talk to these certain authors privately instead of talking and posting about them publicly. Yet, I wonder if they would quote the same scripture if these authors were the ones critiquing you and your writings. Does it go both ways? I don't know. This whole 'you can't discount a whole ministry just because some people were hurt' line is like someone inserting poison into a delicious chocolate cake and others saying they can't be criticized for poisoning people because it's surrounded with yummy chocolate. Toxic teachings padded in a few generic good-sounding quotes are still toxic.
