Like, why is the main reason some should take care of themselves so that they can serve everyone else better? And why is this messaging almost exclusively given to women???? 👀

And yes, taking care of myself makes me MORE helpful to the people in my life. But I don’t think that’s the only reason it’s valid. You don’t have to EARN your wellbeing by proving how useful it makes you. You’re allowed to want to feel good… just because you’re a person. That’s it.
