I wish these things too Jodi. I have recently submitted a writing project inspired by my experience growing up in Israel to the CALQ and it was rejected. I am so heartbroken. I thought it was a solid, and unique proposal. I wanted to address the conflict from this perspective. Just telling you that Gaza is very much on my mind.
