Report writing always seems to be one of the dreaded tasks on the teachers' calendar, but I always enjoyed having the opportunity to reflect on my students and be encouraging in my comments. One thing I wish I'd been mentored on more was parent-teacher conferences. I was nervous about them as a novice teacher and wasn't really sure what was expected of me, by the school or by the parents.
