I teared up reading this because you gave words to feelings I had as my children became adults. Thank you! I was always in survival mode when they were younger and didn’t always have the time or energy to be the mom I wanted to be or that society portrays. I watched my 2 year old nephew three days last week while my sister and her husband traveled. I found myself getting sadder as each day passed and I realized that I don’t think I ever had three days in a row with my kids when they were young to just focus 100% on having fun, no work, no bills, no worries.
