There is a word in the book of Genesis that typically is not fully understood and you may be the best person to reveal its meaning. The word is עָרוּם. It is used consecutively in two verses Genesis 2:25 and 3:1. “They were both naked עָרוּם, the man and his wife, but they were not ashamed. The serpent was cunning עָרוּם”. The key to understanding is in its noun form עָרמָה which means “guile”. In the first case עָרוּם could be translated as without guile, or innocent, or honest and open.
