Great article, so maybe I should get into comic books again. It's funny that you mention that this Bruce Wayne uses what they call “magical thinking” sequences to move the plot. It's actually in line with what general superhero logic stems from, the Nietzschean ubermensch, or the idea that he's supposed to get it all, have it all intrinsically. He's supposed to be borderline psychic as the ideal human archetype.

It's disappointing, isn't it, living in an age where people put the message before marketing for media. But in academia, it's the opposite. Hopefully this can change in the future.
