Tragic to hear of the death of Dr Susan Michaelis from invasive lobular breast cancer. Her experience was all too familiar: misdiagnosed, misunderstood and missed.

ILBC doesn't show up on standard scans but 22 women are diagnosed every day – sometimes too late. It’s time we stopped letting women slip through the gaps. We need better screening, more research and proper clinical awareness.
