Very likely I'm wrong here, but isn't the version of Growth Mindset outlined here itself a lethal mutation? Or at least attaching a bunch of things we think are good ideas onto the label?

The solid, verified, replicated, growth mindset intervention *is* a half hour workshop on neuroplasticity etc, which was found to have a modest (but enormous relative to the tiny time investment) positive effect on learning outcomes.

The idea of giving feedback which praises effort over outcome, tasks which involve desirable difficulty etc, might be good ideas anyway, but they're not necessarily leveraging the same effect as that workshop. If anything, the shiny poster is closer in spirit, though it boggles my mind why schools don't just run the actual workshop.
