The “what will we eat” part literally almost sent tears down my face. That’s just so powerful and hit me so deeply. I just imagine a little girl asking what she’s going to eat and denying her… like that’s so foreign but with myself I’m like yeah I’m not allowed. So backwards.. keep writing!
