Thank you Mats for this. I am familiar with the idea of creative destruction in this context. I have three thoughts. 1) Creation is much harder than destruction. 2) The capacity to adapt enables evading selection pressure. And 3) I think it may be more salient to note that the virtue of capitalism is the assumption of risk.
