I have just left an exchange on Quora with the amazing Claire Jordan, who continues to take a position which has very little sympathy for the Gazans as a whole. For me, when I look at the Palestinians, I see people who must be just like me, my wife and kids and they must all be terrified every moment of every day, and it horrifies me. Thank you for this post, I’m going to try and do exactly what you’ve asked. It’s a great idea. Your first Substack post ( I think!) quoted Granny Weatherwax, Terry, and the source of so much evil being treating ‘people as things’.
