Great piece. I’ve always felt like an intruder in the art world - it’s so exclusive and patronising to outsiders.

I think the art world you speak of artificially pumps up its own sense of ‘specialness’ to keep people engaged, otherwise most people would turn away from its overly intellectual and didactic culture.

Spiritual art is people’s art, it speaks to something felt and real in our experience.
