John knows me a bit, but to the rest of you: I write pretty eclectically, but a lot of my work is centered on disability, the body, relationships, and, above all, seeking psychic integration on the page. My Substack is called The Speculative Nonfictionist because I think this approach to genre is the most honest, since all truth is speculative in some way, and all speculation has truth to it because someone has performed it. Again, psychic integration is the goal, though it’s certainly tougher in our atomized world.
