“weakness isn't theoretical, it’s felt”
take me to church! i accidentally gave to much energy talking to folklorists in gi’s this week. their strength is theoretical hehe
anyways, tysm for this powerful next level of combatives pedagogy!
the closest language id had for the three vectors is the post-modernist concept of the “panopticon”
that like a pentagon shaped prison - with its five guard towers and straight corridors all meeting in a central guard tower. a physical panopticon
society itself is a socially constructed panopticon. where the three vectors police one another. just like jail guard in the watch towers of the pentagon shaped prison.
the panopticon is designed for the fewest guards to regulate the most prisoners. it breaks prisoners down into conformity
(m. foucault et al)
thats ofc seeing the three vectors as bad. not something to embrace
the post modernist would deconstruct it.
but if i understand correctly we can use an understanding of the three vectors to intentionally create cultures that produce warriors?
like a parent punishes a child to prepare them for adult responsibility. we can expose fighters to fear and pain
bc their peer group is also in the ecosystem?
can u pls let me know if im digesting your wisdom properly?
