The app for independent voices

I loved this offering: “As small theaters and developing organizations struggle with limited resources, we often apologize for what we can't provide. But perhaps we should be celebrating what we can: intimacy instead of spectacle, vulnerability instead of perfection, the irreplaceable experience of watching something discover what it is in real time. The developmental reading isn't what we settle for when we can't afford a full production. It might be what we choose when we want to create the deepest possible connection between new work and the people encountering it.

It gives one much to think about in terms of audience development, community development, and the development of new work.
