Great piece! I feel as if the NBA may try to eliminate or discourage this tactic for aesthetic purposes (if it gets more commonplace throughout the game/intentional). I’m a massive Jokic fan and fascinated with the niche strategies teams employ to gain any advantage, but even I sometimes find myself thinking “C’mon pass the ball in!” or getting slightly annoyed with the obvious stalling.

Or… the NBA may deem it not too detrimental to the entertainment value of the game as I’ve seen it only apply to a couple of possessions toward the end of games.
