Inequality is a base problem in so many sectors of our society. I really agree that our education systems need to be, “redesigned to offer more opportunity to more people”. It is maddening that so many smart people get pulled into obsessing over every elite opportunity possible going to their kid, instead of seeing the value in a more broadly educated public. Our communities would best served if our best and brightest saw going to their local public institutions as their best options.
