Optimism and constructive debate is healthy, but I think you are being disingenuous. In most countries, the wealthy are disproportionately favored and protected. Politicians are unaccountable. The mechanisms in law and oversight are not effective at providing transparency and compensation when wrongs are committed. This is not something you can wish away with sweet talk. The anger that is building is legitimate. Democracies are not functioning anymore and if you were honest, you would admit that America is an oligarchy, controlled by corporate interests and foreign governments. It’s obvious, and that is why most people should not believe you. It’s not that these wrongs cannot be corrected, it’s that you can’t start with a lie and expect a true outcome.
