The app for independent voices

Even without billionaires, who stand to profit the most, paying think tank fellows to advocate for School Choice, School Choice is an easy sell. 85% of American children attend public school, and everyone assumes private schools are better because that’s where the rich send their children. But even when Lara Trump preaches the gospel of School Choice, her complaints about the hurdles at her children’s private school unknowingly contradict there is any real choice. Parents do not realize they are facing a Trojan horse. Private schools are not sanctuaries; they are ideological gulags with total control secured through unconscionable contracts and accreditation. Voucher money flows, private schools expand, and kids get processed into a compliant undercovermother.substa…. By fleeing public schools, they are landing in a system far more sophisticated and centralized. School Choice legislation only strengthens centralized power by mandating accreditation monopolized by NAIS, COGNIA, and ASCI. NAIS has even become international with its control of ICAISA, its international accrediting body. Ironically, increasing education privatization only takes away our sovereignty. Eventually, school boards will be eliminated because everyone will be using streamlined platforms that are accredited. Instead of Linda McMahon expanding accreditation organizations, the system must be kept decentralized with as much control as possible preserved in “Independent” schools. It’s time for America to stop being sold a bill of lies.
