Thank you Ramona. Yes, I think it’s very different when we’re pouring our hearts out, or updating people, rather than presenting a more sort of “done” piece like a poem or an essay. I think that is where the disconnect can happen. If I posted an update sharing something personal, rather than an essay, then the “I’m sorry” responses wouldn’t feel the same. It’s more when people react to art like it’s an update that can cause some writers to feel off.
