On a lighter note, this makes me think of Klee’s notes, which, I think are not at all easy to read conventionally (as they try to articulate the felt rather than the seen), juxtaposed with his paintings: the synergy that vitalises from within and adds impetus to the artist’s/author’s production as a greater whole. And for me, that is the thing at the heart of this. I have not read these books you write of here, but the cover design is particularly strong, conveying a sense of its content at a glance.
