Interesting read. I think that 442 diamond or 4312, both with flying wing-backs would suit these players & team well. Salah can slightly shift to play on the right of the front two & there he can pull out wide when he needs to, leaving space for Szobo to attack from deep also.

I’ve noticed that this team doesn’t take it to the byline & cut it back across goal very often, which is typically a dangerous weapon, especially with the instinctual strikers we have now. Why is that?
