This is a beautiful review. I myself wrote a bit about this in my letter to Arundhati. But as you rightly pointed out, the book fails to explain the anger of a child against her parent. It also fails to showcase how she dealt with her entire life shadowed by an abusive mother, and despite that, kept coming back to her. Was it love?
