I know this story well but others don’t ( and should ). Well summarised and factual. Post 1945 came the impetus to avoid this periods mistakes and its disastrous consequences. Much of that architecture both politically and economically is now being disrupted by its chief architect. This is not confined to that country but throughout the developing and developed world we see a swing to right wing populist parties. All offer simple straightforward solutions to complex problems. Perhaps readers may be drawn to comparisons because l increasingly feel l am living somewhere in the 1930’s or more likely some version of it.
