It was a relief in Morrisville that our troll was not present this weekend. But I gotta tell you - two or three weeks ago I had a good conversation with him. He had a shirt with FREEDOM on it. I told him we could agree on freedom. He countered with a comment about Charlie Kirk. Instead of telling him that Charlie Kirk does not own that word, I said it was tragic that the young man was killed. He replied that he was afraid (used that word) that it would spark more violence. I said we could agree on that. I made “we can agree …” a theme of all my comments. We did agree that our country would be better if people could communicate. We didn’t talk long, and I said nothing that I knew would cause an argument. But I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t have MAGAs in my life.
