I’m not sure bushido was about choice other than choosing to be loyal to one person generally a feudal lord. I believe it was a code of honor among them that wasn’t flexible. That the inflexibility was part of the backbone of these warriors. A code for living

I like the picture very much.

Grace and dignity, perhaps like the bushido. Like the grace and ceremonial dignity of their calligraphy, making tea, arranging flowers rock gardens the arts. I’d list more but Wonton, a cat of grace and dignity, is hassling about his lunch yet unserved.
