Tears of the Soul

The tears ran freely down your cheeks

Your suffering laid bare

Unable to speak

I’m deeply moved

What have I done

You don’t deserve me

We were once happy

Now a life of suffering and solitude

I can’t read novels about torrid affairs

I must be true to you

Stand by your side

Your rock for the future
