Excellent points here! I had never considered how exposed someone in a wheelchair would be, in a situation where ducking behind a counter was a lifesaving option. In Australia, our strict gun regulations make that less of a predicament. However, there have been attacks in Australian central business districts or shopping centres, mostly via cars ramming pedestrians, or youths wielding knives. Actually it’s pretty scary to reflect upon all the other dangers, such as escaping from a bushfire. In every case, someone with a disability is facing a higher risk.
