Good work. But who’d have imagined how poorly these words would age?
“Clattenburg generates as much buzz as any prospect I cover. However, he is not close to being ready. He needs at least 18 months of AHL work on his puck skills. His hands are ok, but his understanding of danger and what amounts to risk is very limited. It has led to lots of turnovers and extended zone possession for the opposition. It has also kept Clattenburg on the fourth line in Bakersfield. He will need to work diligently to clean that up before he can seriously be considered for a call-up.”
Here’s hoping young Mr. Clattenburg gets more time playing hockey on the ice than he does warming the bench in the penalty box. Fans may love it, but then, fans don’t seem to give a sh*t when their favourite Bobby Clobber is stumbling through his 30s or 40s with CTE. Ugh.
